Firm History and Core ValuesEugene J. Carolan, CPA, founded Carolan & Associates in September 1987. The original firm was called The Controllership and specialized in assisting small and medium sized businesses with accounting, tax and management advisory services. The firm was incorporated under the Michigan Professional Services Corporation act in May 1991. Our consulting services have resulted in the start-up of more than 2000 mid-Michigan companies. We have done traditional business plans and advanced strategic plans for many well known and successful Lansing area companies including: Davenport Masonry, Catholic Social Services/St. Vincent Home, The Blue Coyote Brew Pub, Michigan Public Health Institute, DBI Business Interiors, Office Dynamics, Ltd., Pinehills Golf Course and many, many others. We provide monthly accounting and payroll services to a variety of companies. Often businesses are not large enough to have on-staff competent financial managers. We are able to assist the bookkeeper by providing business accounting guidance and controllership services. We assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and a variety of management information reports. Of course, we prepare reviewed and compiled financial statements with or without full footnote disclosure. Our tax practice is founded on the accurate, timely and efficient completion of complex government forms and returns. We currently represent more than three hundred businesses and individuals. We are well experienced in the preparation of forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990 and many more federal, multi-state and city returns. In addition to accounting, tax and consulting services, Mr. Carolan has conducted specialized training programs for Lansing Community College, Schoolcraft College and many for profit and not-for-profit businesses. We have developed specialized training programs for entities like the Michigan Economic Development Association, Carefree Aluminum Products, Davenport Masonry and the Plymouth Wayne Welding Family of Companies. Our success is always based on our clients’ success. We strongly believe in these three elements of professionalism: service, service, and service. For More Information Contact:
